Student support

Students enrolled on the Global Innovation Joint-Degree Program (GIP-TRIAD) receive support in their academic and everyday life, particularly from the Student Support Committee. Each student is assigned with a tutor student and a faculty mentor to help get his or her academic and student life off to a smooth start. Regarding financial support, we introduce applicable scholarships to each student, and provide financial support at such time that a scholarship payable from the program becomes available. We also support the mental health of our students and introduce a counselor if the need arises.

  • Priority place in university dormitory

  • Tuition fees will be paid to the student’s home university.

National Taiwan University (NTU)

  • Priority place in university dormitory
  • Tuition fees will be paid to the student’s home university.

University of Bordeaux (UB)

  • Priority place in university dormitory
  • Tuition fees will be paid to the student’s home university.

Housing support

University of Tsukuba (UT)

  • Monthly rent: 31,170 JPY (Extra 30,000JPY security deposit is required upon moving in)
  • Monthly rent: Borne by student, Security deposit will be repaid upon moving out
  • Room type: Single room of Oikoshi Residence (16 m²) with bed, desk, air-conditioner, kitchen, bathroom with toilet

  • Monthly rent: 7,800NTD (About 30,000JPY), Extra 1 month rent as security deposit is required upon moving in
